▍Beware of fraudulent emails that serve as scams
Fraudulently posing as Chunghwa Post to send emails
Recently, scam gangs have sent emails posing as Chunghwa Post Company, notifying members of the public about how to deal with email related problems and in so doing tricked people into clicking a website URL, which is then used to steal their personal information. Do not fall victim to this scam. Chunghwa Post never uses emails asking customers to click a link to a website and pay postage charges.
Countermeasures
•Do not click any unknown URL.
•If a member of the public encounters a webpage he or she believes to be impersonating the company, first check whether the website domain name is correct (post.gov.tw) as a way of differentiating between real and fraudulent websites.
•Do not click a link or input new credit card information to avoid being scammed.
•If you have any questions call the company customer service line at 800-700-365 (call the toll phone number 04-2354-2030 on your cellphone) or call the 165 Anti-fraud Hotline for verification
