▍Keep warm,exercise safely
In winter, anyone exercising in low temperatures needs to be careful. Even if you exercise regularly, when the weather is cold it is important to take measures to keep warm.
There are three main rules for exercising in low temperatures:
•Wear multiple layers of clothing-To ensure your head and extremities remain warm, wear a hat, face mask, scarf, gloves and warm clothing. When exercising outdoors wear a waterproof and windproof coat that will keep you warm.
•Avoid strenuous exercise-Do not engage in strenuous exercise in low temperatures, to prevent vasoconstriction, elevated blood pressure and reduce the risk of health issues. After exercising immediately wipe away the sweat and change clothes to avoid feeling cold.
•Warm up properly-Warm up for 5-10 minutes before exercise, 15-20 minutes during Winter. This promotes blood circulation and joint range of motion, which can prevent sporting injuries.
