Control measures for road traffic, pedestrians, lights, doors and windows
When the air-defense alarm sounds (or a mobile phone warning message is received), all motorists, passengers and pedestrians are required to follow the guidance of police and civil defense staff by evacuating to the nearest shelter.
A siren indicates the start of the drill:The siren is a 15-second high pitch sound followed by a 5-second low pitch sound with three cycles lasting 115 seconds in total.
Siren indicating the end of the drill:A 90-second high pitch sound.
Anyone who violates the regulations governing the drill will be fined between NT$30,000 and NT$150,000 in accordance with the Civil Defense Act.
