▍An employer cannot punish an employee who is unable to get to work because of a natural disaster
If you are unable to work because of a typhoon, earthquake or other natural disaster be aware of the following:
•Payment of salary : The law does not mandate that employers have to pay wages if a day is missed due to a natural disaster, but it is recommended “that no deductions be made from salaries”
•Attendance management : In the event of a natural disaster employers cannot view employees as being absent and force them to make up the time or substitute it for other types of leave. They also cannot make deductions from the full attendance bonus or fire foreign workers
