▍Beware of individuals asking for payments and disappearing when transferring employers

Recently unscrupulous individuals have been posing as “middle men” or “labor brokers” and pretending to be able to help foreign workers “simply and legally” transfer work and obtain high paying jobs

Be careful! Such offers are often scams and once you have made the required payment there is no way to get your money back

Remember

•Most situations where it is claimed an individual can help you transfer employers and easily find work for an “upfront payment” are scams

•Do not accept work introductions from unfamiliar social media accounts or strangers

•Reject any suspicious opportunity where you are asked to “not tell anyone else” or to “keep confidential”

If you are looking for work call the Direct Hiring Service Center at 0800-665-800.

If you have related questions call the 165 Anti-Fraud Hotline.  If you require interpretation services call the 1955 Hotline
