▍Tobacco and alcohol products bought in duty-free stores cannot be resold
After returning to their home country for a break many people buy tobacco and alcohol products at duty-free stores as mementos or gifts for friends when arriving back in Taiwan. Be aware, such purchases are for self-use only, they cannot be resold or used to make a profit
•Regulations stipulate that the resale of duty-free tobacco or alcohol products is punishable with a fine of NT$30,000 to NT$6 million
•If you bring more than the designated duty-free maximum into Taiwan declare it to customs, otherwise the items will be confiscated and you can be fined
