•Failure to give way to pedestrians resulting in a minor injury : The fine is raised to NT$18,000-NT$30,000
•Failure to give way to pedestrians resulting in a serious injury (considered the equivalent of a fatality) : The fine is raised to NT$36,000 with the possibility of criminal liability
Motorists remember: A distance of roughly 3-4 railway sleeper widths corresponds to over 3 meters. If the distance is less than 3 meters, you must stop to let pedestrians pass and not continue at a slower speed
