The Ministry of Labor (MOL) has established a pandemic prevention guidance section providing information in multiple languages (Chinese, English, Indonesian, Vietnamese and Thai) on its Information Site of Foreign Worker Rights Defense. In addition, in order to proactively ensure foreign workers receive related information, the ministry also provides 1955 E-Line (use an official LINE account to search for ‘1955 E-LINE’ and add as a friend) in multiple languages, as well as an FB communication platform (search for the 1955hotline). Foreign workers are encouraged to make use of these services.

1. In response to the increasing severity of the local COVID-19 outbreak, the following measures must be observed during the nationwide COVID-19 Level 3 alert: (1) Wear a face mask whenever you go outside. Anyone found in violation of this provision will be fined without a warning being first given; (2) Family and social gatherings of more than five people indoors and more than 10 people outdoors are forbidden (not including people who live together). All unnecessary movements, activities and gatherings should be avoided; (3) Observe self-health monitoring and if you develop symptoms seek medical attention.
2. Employers, labor brokers and foreign workers can visit the Pandemic Prevention Section of the Workforce Development Agency’s Information Site of Foreign Worker Rights Defense to keep up to date with the latest pandemic prevention news.

On June 23, 2021, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) indicated that following an overall pandemic prevention assessment it had decided to extend the nationwide COVID-19 Level 3 alert to July 12. For the duration of the Level 3 alert keep up to date with the latest information from the CECC.
