If because of the temporary suspension of transfers on June 6, a live-in foreign worker or home based employer did not apply to the MOL for a contract completion transfer on June 6 or later, and the foreign worker’s original period of employment has already expired and he or she wants to proceed with a transfer from July 1, how should they proceed?

In accordance with the ministry’s administrative interpretation issued on Nov. 23, 2020, the original employer or foreign workers has 60 days after July 1 to reapply to the ministry for a transfer.

Live-in foreign workers who applied to the MOL for a contract completion transfer on or after June 6, but after the temporary suspension of transfers by the ministry’s June 7 administrative interpretation were not approved, if their original period of employment has expired and they want to go ahead with the transfer from July 1 how should they proceed?

After July 1, in accordance with the ministry’s administrative interpretation issued on Nov. 23, 2020, foreign workers can apply to the ministry for a transfer.
